1.1. What is Biolaboratorio?

Biolaboratorio is a directory of companies that produce or distribute products, equipments or supplies for laboratories of clinical diagnostics, biomedical research, molecular biology, microbiology,...

The Directory tries to make easier the finding of the final distributor in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. It is divided in three main sections: indexed products, manufacturers and distributors in the different countries.

1.2. When was this site created?

On 14^th November 2004 it is created Blauplanet Biomedicine with different links to Web sites regarding biomedicine and a small directory of companies. Because of its success, the list of companies soon became independent from the biomedical portal giving rise to Blauplanet Directory. Step by step the directory increased its area of interest. At first, it only comprised companies from Spain, Mexico and Argentina; now, it includes distributor companies from most of the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.

On 12^nd March 2008 Blauplanet Directory (directory.blauplanet.com) turned its name to Biolaboratorio and moved to its own domain (www.biolaboratorio.com).

1.3. What and how can I search in this directory?

You can find a manufacturer by the company name or by a key word related with the product (in the list of key words or introducing the word in the searching box shown below). After selecting a manufacturer, you will be sent to the page of this company in our directory where you can directly find the distributors in your country. On the other hand, if you look for a distributor in your country you can retrieve information about which companies are distributed.

1.4. Can I get some product in this site?

No, Biolaboratorio does not make any type of commercial transaction.

1.5. What can I do if I do not find what I am looking for?

Please, use our forum!. Other users or the moderators will try to answer your question. Remember that you can maintain your privacy. It is not necessary to include any personal data to subscribe to the forum.

1.6. Does Blauplanet.com guarantee the exactitude of all the data published in the directory?

No. We cannot guarantee the exactitude of all the data for two reasons: a) the high number of registers and the frequence of changes; b) the difficulty to find reliable information (absence of a corporative Web site,...). For this reason, we are including two data to allow the user to valorate reliability of the information published. On the one hand, the date of data collection. On the second hand, an image indicating the reliability of the data obtained at that moment:

  The highest. Data were sent by the company at the indicated date.

  High. Company has a corporative Web site with contact information.

  Average. The company has not its own Web site, but the information found in the Web pages of several manufacturers is identical.

  Low. Different contact information is found in the Web pages of manufacturers. More frequent data are included in our directory.

  Very low. No online data is found at the indicated date. Previous information is maintained.

1.7. I can not contact with a company using the information supplied by your directory

Accept our apologies if it is the case, but we cannot completely guarantee the exactitude of all the data included in this directory. Contact with us and we will try to find the company for you.

2. Companies

2.1. How can I include my company in Biolaboratorio?

If you want your company be listed in this directory send us the following information:

Company name

Web site of the company (if possible)

Headquarters address (include if you want the address of other important offices)

Phone and fax

E-mail (if you want this information published)

It is important to indicate the area (or countries) covered by your company

Products manufactured (if your company has its own production)

Distributed companies, if you are a distributor (specify if you have the sole right to distribute some of these manufacturers)

IMPORTANT!: We do not include companies of different sectors to those covered by this directory (basically, your clients must be related with the following key words: bio + laboratory).

If your company manufactures laboratory products and at the same time distributes its own products or products from other companies, you will have one Web page for each activity (one as manufacturer and another as distributor). We cannot guarantee the inclusion of your company in our directory. In first place, we check your information and, only if your company is considered of high interest for our visitors, it will be finally listed in Biolaboratorio.

2.2. We desire to modify the information about my company

2.3. What is the interest of being listed in our directory?

Our directory is specific of the laboratory area, therefore our visitors are searching products related directly with your company. In addition, our site appears in the first places in Google search for several key words related with laboratory in Spanish and Portuguese ("equipos de laboratorio", "equipamentos de laboratório", "reactivos de laboratorio",…). For additional information about our visitors see our statistics.

2.4. I would like to make my company more visible in Biolaboratorio

You can advertise your company in the directory for a very low cost (since 3€/month). Contact us for additional information.

2.5. My company is already listed in this directory: How was it included?

Biolaboratorio increase step by step the number of companies indexed. We started by a group of well known manufacturers and we included distributors of these companies in the different countries. Afterwards, we include other manufacturers that are distributed by several of these distributors in those countries. We include additional distributors of these new manufacturers and we repeat the process. In addition, some companies that ask for inclusion are listed. In any case, whenever a company is listed we inform them by e-mail (when we have this information).
