Aurora's new VERSA™ Cap Piercing Workstation is programmed to perform closed tube sampling (CTS), automate sample transfer, dilution and much more. This workstation simplifies tedious, repetitive and error prone sample preparation protocols.
The VERSA Cap Piercing Workstation maintains sample integrity while improving lab safety. Piercing needles aspirate / dispense the sample as required eliminating disposable tip waste. Needles pierce through sample vial caps and stoppers, reducing physical injuries experienced by workers due to repetitive de-capping and re-capping of samples.

The VERSA™ Vial Filling workstation is a compact, fully automated robotic system capable of consistently dispensing accurate volumes. Features such as no-splash and no-tips save users unnecessary tip and reagent expenses. The adjustable dual-channel ReagentDrop supports a wide range of fill sizes and also allows: high-speed addition of the same reagent into two separate vials, simultaneous mixing of separate reagents into same vial, or simultaneous addition of separate reagents into different vials.

11-OCT-2009. Aurora Launches H1N1 Reagent Kit. Aurora now offers a diagnostic test kit to detect the H1N1 virus. The kit is designed for in vitro quantification of influenza A swine flu subtype H1N1. The kit was validated against a positive H1N1 patient sample. The kit contains ready-to-use reagents, offers fast real-time detection and provides high sensitivity and high specificity. Specifically designed primers as well as a composite fluorescent probe allow utilization of real-time fluorescent PCR amplification to target the genetic sequence of the influenza A /H1N1.
